Lead by Example

114th National Annual Meeting. Join us!

Welcome to NAM 2014. The preparations are well underway and we look forward to seeing IODE members from all across Canada again this year. 

London will be the host city this year. Conveniently situated near many of our members who live in southwestern Ontario, London is an easy two hour drive from Toronto and accessible to delegates by train, bus and air. View the video clip below for a taste of all this city has to offer.

The National Annual Meeting is your opportunity to gather with Officers of IODE Canada, provincial, municipal and primary chapters and members at large. Through formal business sessions, guest speakers, workshops and the fun of relaxed social events we will review our accomplishments of the past year and discuss plans for the year ahead. 

The theme for NAM 2014 is Lead by Example.  As volunteers in IODE, we do this everyday in our communities, showing others what can be achieved by working together and the personal  satisfaction of giving back to our communities and those in need. NAM 2014 will give you new ideas to Lead by Example in your communities and as leaders within IODE. You will return home with new and renewed IODE friendships and a fresh perspective on our organization. Join us!

As Canadians, we celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Canada in 2017 and in the coming year we will begin to make our plans for this and many other special IODE events across Canada. 

For more than 114 years, IODE has had a long and distinguished history of charitable work within Canada and beyond. The National Annual Meeting is the time to measure our successes and plan for the future.

SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER - Janet Matthews

Enjoy guest speaker Janet Matthews, author, editor, professional speaker and spiritual mentor on Saturday, following the luncheon. Janet is coauthor of the Canadian bestseller, Chicken Soup for the Canadian Soul and O Canada, the Wonders of Winter. Her exciting and entertaining presentation will inspire, uplift and inform you. Her books will be for sale to attendees.

BRING A BOOK - SHARE A STORY 
Again this year, attendees at the annual meeting are encouraged to bring a board book or preschool book to be donated to a local health unit for distribution. Each book received enters you into a draw for prizes! These books will receive the IODE Royal Baby Literacy Project bookplate.

Enjoy Dinner with Friends

Windermere Manor is located on the Western University research park and a beekeeper has partnered with the manor/hotel to provide honey for the kitchen. A short tour of the on-site bee hives will occur prior to dinner.
