MEMBERSHIP AWARD WINNERS

In 2006, IODE chapters strived to gain new members and to form new chapters to win the membership awards. A new chapter, Boundary Bay, Delta, BC celebrated their Bestowal of Charter ceremony in April. The amalgamation of the Archibald MacMechan/Westmount Chapters, Halifax, NS, was announced.

The National Annual Provincial Membership Award was won by the Provincial Chapter of British Columbia. The runners up were the Provincial Chapter of Alberta and the Provincial Chapter of Prince Edward Island.

The National Annual Membership Crystal Challenge Cup was won by Boundary Bay Chapter, Delta, BC. The runners up were Jon Sigurdsson Chapter, Winnipeg, MB, and Tantramar Chapter, Amherst, NS.

The Thrive for Five Membership Drive winners were

3rd place winner Holland Landing Chapter, Holland Landing, ON

Across Canada, 81 IODE chapters gained a total of 193 new members.
