Since 2011, the Share a Story... Bring a Book project has been a cherished tradition at Annual Meetings. Members generously donate children's books and funds, always benefiting a community resource centre.
This year, the Share a Story... Bring a Book project supported Vanier Children’s Mental Wellness in London, ON (www.Vanier.com). Vanier Children’s Mental Wellness provides essential support to children aged 0-18 facing challenges such as depression, self-harm, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), eating disorders, substance abuse, and behavioral difficulties. As the Mental Health Foundation states: "Good mental health helps children develop the resilience to cope with whatever life throws at them and grow into well-rounded, healthy adults." Paula will introduce this innovative, interactive program designed to support families navigating children’s mental health challenges. Through videos, discussions and the guidance of “Poppy”, families gain tools and strategies to work together in addressing the growing needs of youth.
