IODE Canada welcomes you to attend the 125th National Annual Meeting in beautiful London, Ontario. Join us at Western University for an engaging and memorable event filled with camaraderie, inspiration, discussions and celebrations.
The meeting will be in London Hall, 1140 Western Road. Here are a few highlights of the three-day meeting.
Our traditional workshops have been rebranded to “Chats”. These Chats will provide an opportunity for open discussion, learning, and sharing in a relaxed, interactive format. Wednesday 28 May includes 3 Chats, along with time to support Chapters in the Marketplace and begin bidding on Silent Auction items. All funds raised from the auction will go toward the 125th Celebration Fund.

Embracing Our Future Chat – M.I.understanding
Paula Jesty, Founder of M.I.understanding is our guest speaker for this engaging presentation. Paula will introduce this innovative, interactive program designed to support families navigating children’s mental health challenges. Through videos, discussions and the guidance of “Poppy”, families gain tools and strategies to work together in addressing the growing needs of youth. This session will explore key topics, including:

Friday 30 May – Opens with our fourth Chat, followed by the continuation of the general meeting, including presentations for Share a Story... Bring a Book, the IODE War Memorial Scholarships, the IODE Violet Downey Book Award, and Membership Awards. The winning IODE Violet Downey Book will be available for purchase.

Continuing IODE’s principle of ASK. LISTEN. ACT., this discussion will emphasize the importance of LISTENING. We will reflect on the question: Are We Listening? The group will explore:

Saturday 31 May - An optional Small Town Charm Trail mystery tour is a full-day excursion and fundraiser hosted by IODE Eldon House.
Accommodations
The 125th National Annual Meeting will be held on the beautiful Western University campus. Accommodations will differ from previous years, as attendees will stay in a 2 or 3-bedroom suite in London Hall Residence, the same building as the meeting facilities. Each Suite consists of bedrooms, with a double bed in each room, a shared bathroom, a lounge, and a small kitchenette. The kitchenette is equipped with a small refrigerator and a stove (it does not include any other appliances or kitchen supplies).
*Accommodations include a Custom Breakfast Buffet served from 7:30 until 9:00 a.m. in London Hall and Parking Permits in the Huron Flats Parking Lot.
Room reservations can only be made online using a credit card. Rooms must be booked by Wednesday 07 May 2025 after this date rooms will be released and no longer available.
Full payment is taken at time of booking. During the booking process, you will have the option to indicate your preferred roommate. High-speed internet is complimentary in all residence buildings and meeting spaces on the campus with the appropriate login. Username and passwords for internet access are available from the front desk. Rooms can be cancelled up until 11:59 p.m. 21 May 2025 for a full refund. Rooms cancelled after this date and no-shows will not receive a refund. Room cancellations can be made by email to [email protected] until Wednesday, 21 May 2025.
