Thank you for Supporting Youth in Labrador: Labrabook, the Labrador Bursary Fund, the Snack Pack Program and the Adopted Classes and Schools Program continues to make a meaningful difference. The IODE Labrador Bursary Fund began in 1982 when IODE members initiated a capital fund for the purpose of granting bursaries to eager, bright coastal high school students accepted at community college, university, technical or vocational schools. If sufficient money is available from the Labrador Bursary Fund, Bursary recipients are given a small textbook allowance. In remote areas of Labrador, IODE chapters and members have Adopted Classrooms and Schools, sending a variety of supplies several times a year to support their adopted locations. Since 1978, IODE Canada has been proud to support the IODE Labrador Snack Pack Program, made possible by the generosity of primary chapters across the country and individual donors. Its success is strengthened by the enthusiastic collaboration of teachers and parents, who prepare and serve daily snacks to students. The meeting will conclude with closing remarks from the National President. We look forward to celebrating the dedication, impact and spirit of IODE members across Canada. Let’s come together to honor our past and embrace our future as we celebrate YOU, the heart of IODE! Following registration, you will receive an email with the Zoom link and further instructions.
