​E-Chapter Membership is open to women of all ages who are united by the desire to become a member of IODE, but do not have a local chapter in their community or cannot fully participate in IODE meetings. By joining together on-line, members can develop their own initiatives for IODE projects.

​Alumni Chapter Membership is open to women who are unable to attend monthly meetings as their chapter has disbanded but are united by the desire to maintain their membership in IODE.

​As you know, there are many benefits to membership in IODE:

• There is no attendance requirement. Members attend meetings when they can.
• You can join either the E-Chapter or Alumni Chapter if there is no other chapter in your area. These women can join together, on-line, to develop their own initiatives for IODE projects. 
• Both Alumni and E-Chapter members pay the National annual fee of $45, which is tax deductible, as are all cash donations to IODE.

In each chapter:

• You are a member of IODE Canada
• You will receive other IODE information from time to time when new projects are introduced
• You are still able to support any IODE project you wish
• You are able to vote on Constitutional matters as well as attend the National Annual Meeting
• You are united with thousands of women across Canada dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, youth and those in need through educational, social service and citizenship programs
• You gain a sense of fulfilment and satisfaction in helping others.
• The friendship and fellowship in a chapter can and does last a lifetime. You can continue this friendship through the E-chapter or Alumni chapter.

• Echoes, our membership publication, is mailed to all members twice a year
• The IODE Facebook group. If you are not a member of the IODE Facebook group, please let us know and we will invite you to join. We encourage you to invite your friends and family to join in order that we grow our connections through social media
• IODE Canada Express News, is emailed when IODE events of importance take place. If you wish to subscribe to IODE Canada’s Express News, please provide your email address                                       

​​IODE is not a single-issue organization, nor has it ever been. Over the years many projects have been initiated. With unity and careful planning, we can continue to make a difference in our own community, province and country. Each chapter must continue to review the projects they wish to support. Projects vary. A decision is made concerning the allocation of the funds available for the projects that, as a chapter, the members feel are most worthwhile.  Today we must evaluate and find new ways to benefit those around us.  IODE will endure if we continue to maximize the full potential of every member. And we are able to adapt and change to meet the needs of today and tomorrow.
